Short information about personal data when you use this website and the Chatterina app.

When you visit chatterina.jxuoy.xyz, technically necessary server logs may be processed (e.g. IP address, time, requested file). This is for operating and securing the site.

We also count anonymous page visits and download-button clicks: a random ID in your browser’s local storage (no cookies), event type, and page path. No ads, no profiling. System fonts only — no third-party font CDN.

Downloads link to GitHub Releases (github.com/Jxuoy/chatterina-releases). GitHub’s own privacy practices apply there.

3. The Chatterina app

Twitch login: When you sign in, the app receives tokens from Twitch. They are stored locally on your PC (not on our servers).
Chat & emotes: The app connects to Twitch and emote/badge providers (e.g. 7TV, BetterTTV, FrankerFaceZ) to show chat and emotes.
Settings: Theme, tabs, layout, etc. stay local on your device.
Updates: The app may check GitHub for new releases. That typically sends a version request to GitHub.
Optional usage stats (off by default): If you enable “Share anonymous usage stats” in Settings, the app sends once per launch: app version, OS, and a random install ID to chatterina.jxuoy.xyz. No chat content, no Twitch account data.

We do not run an account server for Chatterina. Chat and login go through the respective third parties.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or share your data for advertising. Connections to Twitch, emote services, and GitHub happen because you use the app or the download links.

5. Retention

Website logs: only as long as needed for operation/security. App data: until you delete it locally or uninstall the app.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction, and you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For local app data, deleting local files or uninstalling is usually enough.
